38th Get to Gather of BDPA (INDIA) was held on 24.05.2016 at 15.00 hours in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall (Air-Conditioned). Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. Shri A.N. Patel, presided over the function. Shri A.A. Patel while anchoring introduced multifarious activities of BDPA (INDIA). Two minutes silence was observed in the memory of all those who passed away between the last Get to Gather. Shri A.N. Patel spoke on need enroll maximum numbers in the Association and make the Association stronger. He provided figurative information on various activities of the Association. He call for volunteer to attend the BDPA (INDIA) Ahmedabad to assist in the work. Ten New members were enrolled on 24.05.2016 and eight members were enrolled on 23.05.2016 working Committee Meeting. More than 325 Pensioners participated in the meeting despite scorching mercury heatig the city. He said that by active participation of S/Shri B.M. Bhavsar and K.T Makwana has strengthened our Association.
Shri Bholabhai M. Patel, Retired CTM C.T.O. Ahmedabad hailing from Zulasan Village (Mehsana District) now settled in USA was honoured for his gracious donations to the Association from time to time extending financial help providing inspiration for others to follow.
Shri B,M. Bhavsar, Retired AGM, now regularly attending BDPA (INDIA) office, handling Correspondence folio, addressed the meeting requesting the members to provide all vital information to deal with their case effectively. He also said that the members are not taking care to inform the Association when their cases are settled. He asked to follow the procedure published in recent issue of BSNL GUJARAT NEWS Gujarat July, 2016 and provide the required information.
Shri D.D. Mistry, GS spoke on various irritating issues to the Pensioners and said that all time alert is need of hour to have grievances redressed. He spoke on the issues alike simplification of BSNL MRS, Anomalies Cases, Functioning of Pension Adalat.
Speaking on 78.2% IDA Merger issue, he said that virtually at this junction everything appears to be on right track and whatever delay is there is due to procedural wrangling by the bureaucrats. He said that the order is to be effectively likely w.e.f. 10.06.2013 and we will have to continue our struggle to get arrears w.e.f. 01.01.2007. If we fail to convince the authorities we will have to revert to judicial process as well and for that purpose finance will e of equal importance. He called upon the members to extending helping to donate when the case is settled. At present, the Cabinet Note returned by the Cabinet Secretariat is with DoT Ofice which will be resubmitted shortly as sought for by the Cabinet Secretariat meeting their requirements.
Expert Doctors from Chandra Knee Clinic and Appollo Internationals Hospital, Ahmedabad conducted informative Seminar on Knee Replacement, its needs and treatment. They replied to the queries made by the Pensioners.
