47th Get go Gather – Ahmedabad Gandhinagar Districts
47th Get to Gather of Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar Districts was held on 25.02.2019 in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad under the Presidentship of Shri A.N. Patel. Shri A.A. Patel anchored the event. More than 225 Pensioners were present.
A Medical Seminar was conducted in association with Narayana Multi speciality Hospital Ahmedabad. S/Shri Dr. Kinnar Avashiya, Dr. Shashikant Limbachia and Dr. Nirav Vakani spoke on the issues of various chronic deceased and preventive measures and also interacted with the Adudiance.
Capt. S. Y. Jog, Jt. CCA was also present and he spoke on various aspects of SAMPANN programme and its latest position. He also said that Eye Check Up programme is organized on 28.02.2019 in CCA Office and the Pensioners and their families can avail its benefit.
Shri A.N. Patel said that the work of publication of 5th Edition of BSNL Pensioners Directory 2019 is in progress and requested members to contribute by the way of extending financial assistance. He also said that Organizational strength and Unity of BSNL Pensioners is need of hour to achieve the Pension Revision.
Shri D.D. Mistry spoke on the latest development on the 3rd P.R.C. for Employees and its impact on the Pensioners Pension Revision. He clarified the stand of BDPA (INDIA) and asked the members to sent maxium representations to the Hon’ble PM, MOC and the Secretary DoT. The Printed copies of the Memorandum was made available and all signed and make over to the Association for its onward transmission to the concerned authorities.
Mr. Mistry asked the Pensioners not to feel panic and the issue is being delayed due to political reasons and ideologies followed by the Unions/Associations and as a result all the workforce is suffering heavily. In democracy we have right to ask for constitutional right of Pension Revision and we will achieve sooner.
He said that in the present 3rd A.I.C. of BDPA (INDIA) to be held on 4th and 5th April, 2019 in Kerala will be vital importance and asked the members to attend in large numbers.
Now the steps for revival for BSNL are receiving highest priority of the Govt. and in short span of time it will yield positive result. In democracy none can avoid discussion with the Management and revert to negative tactics.
Tribute was paid to martyrs of Pulwama attack victims and donation of Rs.50,000/- was declared by the Association.
The programme was concluded with Dinner.
