67thAGM of Bharat Pensioner Samaj held on 13.11.2022 in Hotel Centre Point, Near Lokmat Square Nagpur at 10.30 hours. D.D. Mistry, R.C. Sharma and M.S. Dave participated in the Meeting as Delegates.
AGM began by paying respects to all who lost their lives during last year by observing two minutes in their memory.
Dr. K.R. Gangadharan, Former Chairman, IFA, Canada & Chairman Heritage Group delivered his inspirational speech saying that age should not be considered as handicap or obstacle to learn anything. He gave example of his mother, who did M.Phil at the age of 85 years. Day by day young generation strength is decreasing and senior strength is increasing. Respect of elders is also diminishing under the cloud of expertise by younger and we have to make respectable adjustment.
D. Balasubramanian, General Secretary AIFPA while delivering his speech drawn the attention of the conference that till date BSNL Pensioners have not got their Pension Revision which is due from 01.01.2017. He emphasise on the strength of Unity and warn that if we fail to need of united struggle, our future will be dark. We have to create our image as force to be recon with and those in authorities should be realise to sense strength of our unity before taking any negative step to curtail our pensioners benefits. He assure support of AIFPA in all struggles.
Venu P Nair, General Secretary, NRMU CR Mumbai, .S. Vardharajan, GS NFRPA Palghat and other leaders on dias delivered their inspirational speeches.
C.L. Lanjewar anchored the event in his unique way by elaborating important points of the speakers.
All the Dignitaries were awarded memento and shawl with peculiar garland.
S.C. Maheshwari SG BPS presented General Report/Accounts, Nomination of Auditors & resolutions. All the Resolutions were passed in one voice.
In Delegate Session, delegates spoke on their irritating issues. M.S. Dave, Circle Secretary, BDPA (INDIA) said that till date Pension Revision of BSNL is not done and he urged the BPS to utilise its influence with DOPP&PW to get it expedited. He also said that though represented by GS BDPA (INDIA) to extend time for relating condition for Covid-19 it has not been done. In Gujarat Association registered under Society’s Act are holding their election once in three/five years.
There were no more changes in election of Office-bearers for BPS for next three years and D.D. Mistry was also elected as Secretary BSNL/PSU.
S.C. Maheshwari SG summed up the proceedings and AGM was concluded after vote of thanks by President and singing National Anthem.
