” This issue was raised by the General Secretary of BSNLEU, in the meeting held between the CMD BSNL and the AUAB on 27.10.2021. However, the CMD BSNL evaded giving any reply. It is a fact that, the BSNL Management is encouraging the retired BSNL employees to migrate to the CGHS. Under these circumstances, we have every reason to believe that, the delaying tactics in the payment of medical bills of the retired employees is a strategy to force them to migrate to the CGHS.
In view of the foregoing, we would like to caution the Management that, it should not adopt any coercive step to compel the retired BSNL employees to migrate to the CGHS. Continuing in the BSNLMRS or to migrate to the CGHS shall be the option of the retired employees. Further, we also demand that, the Management should immediately take steps to make payment of the pending medical bills of the retired employees.”
The Pensioners feel happy that their pain is also felt by working employees by heart and let us hope that the issue will be taken up with due sincerity demanding payment of Medical Bills at par with Working Employees. This is only way to prove their sympathy towards retirees. Else simply raising the issue and keeping silence over evading the issue by the management will prove the intention.
