BDPA (INDIA) – AHMEDABAD DISTRICT – 51st Get to Gather held on 31.03.2022 in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall (Air-Conditioned) at 10.30 hours under the presidentship of Shri A .K. Patel, Circle President.
Shri H.J. Bhatt sung prayer and thereafter two minutes silence was observed in memory of those who departed during this time.
Shri A.N. Patel spoke on need for Maintenance Fund for Office and brief history of the Association. He stress on need to enroll more members and to strengthen the Association numerically and fiscally as well. He introduced Dr. Milap Vyas, General Manager, from K.M. Dastur Reinsurance Company and brief on the scheme.
Dr. Milap Vyas presented salient points of the Group Health Insurance Scheme and said that this scheme will be opened exclusively for BDPA (INDIA) members and probably commenced from 15th of April, 2022 and once the scheme is launched no one can be permitted to join the scheme in between. He differentiated and clarified word Top Up policy. Many members asked many questions and all were relied by Dr. Milap Vyas.
Shri D.D. Mistry gave latest position on our irritating issue of BSNL Pensioners Pension revision from 01.01.2017 and need for unity amongst various Pensioners Associations. Now we have to raise demand for BSNL Pensioners delink that of with working employees. The need is to prevail upon DoT to initiate move for preparing Cabinet Note and accelerating file movement to get Cabinet Nod. He asked all the members to sign Memorandum without fail.
He also spoke on non payment of Medical Reimbursement for indoor/outdoor and Medical Fixed Allowance and criticized Company’s mind set for differentiating the workers and Pensioners. He also focus on non checking of Medical Bills by SSA heads and not demanding required amount. He said that BSNL Corporate office has recently relied to the Association that the issue will be looked in to.
On CGHS issue, he said BSNL Corporate Office should expedite preparing programme for asking Option on Line and effecting payment of subscription directly to CGHS Authorities. Pensioners should not be asked to surrender their Medical Identity Card and should be treated as Null and Void when CGHS Card is issued.
More than 150 Pensioners participated and programme concluded with BDPA (INDIA) Zindabad.
