Meeting of the committee to review BSNL MRS was held on 8th January under the Chairmanship of Shri S.K. Sinha GM(Admn). A thorough discussion took place in respect of difficulties being faced by the workers in reimbursement of Medical claims specially none of the good hospitals are ready to provide treatment on CGHS rates. It was decided to – (1) Collect information from other PSUs like coal India, SBI, BHEL etc to study how those organizations are dealing with the Medical issues. (2) To explore the systems of Mediclaim through insurance companies. Study of financial impact and other aspects are needed. The next meeting will be held in last week of Feb, 2016.

On 12th July, 2009 Sunday, The BSNL & DoT Pensioners Association, Gujarat Circle, Ahmedabad had launched its own web www.bdpa.in to cater needs of BSNL & DoT Pensioners of Gujarat in general India in particular. We have incorporated orders on 1st & 2nd Wage Revision in BSNL. We have membership in more than 16 Circles and have formed Circle Branch in Kolkata, W.B. Bihar, J & K, NTR, Gujarat, AP, Chennai Telephones, Tamilnadu, Kerala & Karnataka. We have more than 10000 members throughout the country.
