BSNL-MTNL PENSIONERS PENSION REVISION – SNPWA
ON 03.02.2023 : GS SNPWA, VP SNPWA CHQ and Com R.K. Mudgal GS MREWA met Director (E) to know about the file regarding Pension Revision. He informed it is yet to come from the Accounts Section of DOT Unfortunately, new Member (S), Sh U S.Pandey, was on leave today
Meeting with DDG (P) / DOT, Mr Sunil Purohit regarding implementation of Hon Supreme Court Judgment pertaining to generalization of Rule 206 in BSNL/ MTNL. We apprised DDG( P) that in BSNL implementation of Judgment is done in utter disregard and contempt of the Hon SC Judgment by simply recasting the Seniority without paying the consequential benefits thereof wef 1.1.2018 as stipulated in the Judgment
In MTNL, the Judgment, having come above five months before, there are no signs of starting implementation of the Judgment. We also apprised DDG(P) that it is fundamental responsibility of DOT to ensure Judgment in both BSNL/ MTNL is implemented in letter and spirit
DDG(P) is aware of these developments but advised us to vigorously pursue the implementation of the Judgment in letter and spirit by BSNL/ MTNL. However, DDG(P) mentioned that in case Judgment is not eventually implemented in letter and spirit by BSNL/ MTNL, DOT will surely ensure implementation of the Judgment in letter and spirit
We shall be vigorously pursuing with CMD / BSNL& MTNL about implementation of Judgment in its true spirit, failing which we shall seek effective intervention of DOT to ensure implementation of Judgment in its totality. In the meantime, our Counsel MS Gauri has already served legal notice to Secy (T) and CMD/ BSNL& MTNL calling upon them to forthwith implement the Judgment failing which contempt proceedings will be appropriately initiated.
Meeting with PGM(E) /BSNL regarding officiating JTOs of Kerala PGM( E) that revised draft has been finalized by his section but unfortunately concerned DGM was on leave. Will meet him on Monday
Tried to meet Director (Finance) / DOT to discuss the issue of imposing Tax on CGHS reimbursement but unfortunately he was not available.
