52nd Get-to-Gather – Sneh Sammelan & Medical Seminar held on 28.02.2024
On 28.02.2024, Ahmedabad District of BDPA (INDIA) held its 52nd Get-to-Gather – Sneh Sammelan & Medical Seminar in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall, Ahmedabad where more than 200 Pensioners and invitees were present.
The Programme commenced with a Prayer by H.J. Bhatt, renounced Poet, followed by two minutes of silence in memories of those who died during the last two years.
D.D. Mistry spoke on the latest status of irritating issues of MTNL/BSNL Pensioners Pension revision is pending from 01.01.2017 as per the 3rd PRC Recommendation enlightening the role being paid by the working unions and pensioners associations to resolve the issue. He said that after Pr.CAT New Delhi verdict, though it is not implemented within ten weeks given time, the issue is being processed with a positive approach of DoT and the file is submitted to DoE giving two/three options and expected its return in the first week of March 2024 and immediate movement by Secretary DoT, who will return from abroad on 04.03.2024.
A.N. Patel on the financial stringency being felt by the Association as we have to incur expenditure in many directions including paying Municipal Tax, Commercial Rate Electricity Bills and multiple expenditures in expanding our activities and serving the pensioners.
A programme of honouring +80 years pensioners with beautifully designed and worded certificates Shaws, where 32 Pensioners were honoured with glittering smiles on their faces with A.A. Patel introduced all the Pensioners who were +80 and awarded the Certificate with Shawl.
Divyaprabha urged all the women to actively participate in Association and assisting family pensioners to get their difficulties resolved. She gave silver coin to all +80 Office Bearers of the Ahmedabad District as a token of appreciations.
Dr. Tejal Dalal, Tej Eye Hospital, spoke on various eye related deceases and solutions and need for regular eye check up each year by senior citizen and assured all possible help to the pensioners.
Dr. Tejas Gandhi, Khayati Multispecility Hospital spoke on Knee related issues and said how the hospital is treating the patients with latest technologies and asked to take timely steps to address the issue before it is too late.
The Programme was anchored by H.J. Bhatt and concluded with thanks giving and delicious full dish lunch to all the participants.
