44th Get to Gather – BDPA (INDIA) AHMEDABAD HELD…
On 15th March, 2018, 44th Get to Gather – Cum Seminar by Expert Doctors of HCG Hospitals, Ahmedabad was held at 15.00 hours in Ahmedabad Medical Association Hall (Air-Conditioned), Ahmedabad.
Shri A.A. Patel anchored the event and the gathering commenced with Prayer by Shri Praheladbhai Patel, Mehsana, followed with observance of two minutes silence in the memories of those who departed recently. Tributes were also paid to late Shri K.B. Patel and A.R. Patel for their contribution to the BDPA (INDIA).
Shri A.N. Patel gave brief history of the latest events that took place in the month of February, 2018 and said that unity amongst Pensioners is extreme need of time. Multi corner approach to the present burning issue of Pension revision w.e.f. 01.01.2017 may harm the movement. He said that consultations with Advocates are on way to file suit for Pension Revision arrears from 01.01.2007 to 09.06.2013. He also said that before one week there was International Women’s day which we are celebrating to-day with presence of more than female members in the meeting.
Shri D.D. Mistry said that process for 3rd Pay Revision for Workers/Pensioners has been activated after 23rd February, 2018 March by Workers/Pensioners in New Delhi and we shall have to on guard to ensure that process takes smooth movement. A hurdle for loss making BSNL has been overcome and the MOC has assured to move in this direction with Cabinet and Secretary DoT will move to obtain clearance from DPE. He stressed that now the Pensioners Associations have realized that Wage Revision for Workers is primary necessity for Pension Revision.
He also said that w.e.f. 01.04.2018, the facility for Cash Payment for quarterly Medical Reimbursement will be put to an end. The orders for two cycles from 01.010.2017 and 01.01.2018 will be issued shortly. There is also move to curtail entitlement even with the Vouchers. Process for acquiring BDPA (INDIA) Office is also on and materialized shortly. He also threw light on other important and burning issues of the Circle and all India.
From HCG Hospitals, Dr. Hemang Baxi, spoke on prostate Cancer and Dr. Jay Panchal on Pain Management and explained with slides show and short movies and interacted with audience.
Eleven new members were enrolled during the meeting which was concluded with Dinner.
