Two dedicated active members of Boat Jetty Xge branch ares retiring on 31..07..2015 on attaining superannuation. The send off meeting to them was held at 11.30 AM on 29..07..2015 at Ernakulam Boat Jetty Exchange Recreation Hall . Union leaders and branch members attended the meeting.
The retirees are Sri. Purushan. K. and Vijayan .K.N. They are working as TM and TS(O) respectively. The meeting was presided by Sri. Joy, Branch President. The meeting started with a Silent prayer on the sad demise of our Former President A P J Abdul Kalam. Branch secretary welcomed the retirees and all others to the meeting. In his welcome speech he reiterated the importance of joining BDPA (INDIA ) after retirement.
The BDPA ( INDIA ) Kerala State president Sri .Chellappan . K.P. inaugurated the function. In his inaugural address he invited all the BSNL employees to the only registered Pensioners Association, BDPA ( I ) after retirement. He also given a clear picture on the activities of the association for solving the burning problems of the Pensioners. He explained the present status of fixation of Pension merging 78.2% IDA to the Pensioners of pre – post 2007. Sri. Chellappan also presented the momento to the retirees to commemorate their service to the union. Sri. K.V.Jose Circle Secretary NUBSNLW spoke on the various activities of the union in getting the pension from consolidated fund of Govt. of India . He also had a detailed report on trade union actions of the union for the betterment of both the working employees and pensioners. Sri. Lal Jose District Secretary ,Sri. Asokan Asst District Secretary, Sri. C.R. Gopi Organising Secretary and Smt. Meera Bai DWC member of NUBSNLW Ernakulam District also spoke on the occasion. The retirees Sri. Purushan and Vijayan in their reply appreciated the Union and its activities . Both of them took the membership in BDPA (INDIA ) . Vote of thanks was given by Sri.
