We had addressed a letter No: BDPA(I)/CGHS/MAY/2023 Dated 18^th May, 2023 on the subject “A request to consider of proposal to empanel reputed Hospital in all District Head Quarters for C.G.H.S. Beneficiaries” to Shri Mansukh L. Mandaviya Ji, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.

The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi vide No: 8237834 dated 05.08.2023 has replied that “as a matter of policy and norms followed, CGHS does not consider empanelment of private hospitals in non-CGHS areas. CGHS Pensioner beneficiaries residing in non CGHS areas have the option to avail treatment from any Government institution and claim reimbursement later. In addition, they have option to avail treatment under emergency, even from non-empanelled hospitals under emergency and the claims are considered as per approved CGHS rates.”
