Arrears of Dearness Relief (DR) to the pensioners drawing pension from different Post Offices of Department of Posts across the country.
GoI, Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts (Establishment Division), OM No. 100/2-2023-Pen. Dated, 4.9.2023 Regarding provisions for ‘Off Cycle Payment (OCP)’ of arrears of Dearness Relief (DR) to the pensioners drawing pension from different Post Offices of Department of Posts across the country.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the various communications received from different Circles as well as individual Pensioners with the request to make provisions in the existing software used by Department of Posts for disbursing pension to allow Off Cycle Payment of arrears of DR. 2. In this regard, it is informed that requisite technological solution for the same has been deployed by Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT) in the production system GoI, Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts (Establishment Division), OM No. 100/2-2023-Pen. Dated, 4.9.2023 Regarding provisions for ‘Off Cycle Payment (OCP)’ of arrears of Dearness Relief (DR) to the pensioners drawing pension from different Post Offices of Department of Posts across the country. and now the payment of arrears of DR can be made in Off Cycle also. 3. All the Head of Circles are requested to kindly disseminate this information to all the Post Offices under your jurisdiction at the earliest with suitable directions to make use of the said technological upgradation in order to ensure that due DR arrears are released immediately to pensioners without any unnecessary delay. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
