Shri S. Linagamurthy, CS FNTO Chennai Telephones arranged a Meeting at 15,00 hours in Bridge Hall, Social Club, T. Nagar, Chennai at short notice. More than 60 BSNL Pensioners participated. S/Shri D. Chandrasekharan, CS TN Circle, S, Lingamurthy, Ms Minaxi and others addressed the meeting.
Shri J,B, Kumpavat, Executive President spoke on the history of BDPA (INDIA) formation and narrated the journey from 250 members to crossing 6000 mark expanding horizons throughout the country with sizeable membership.
Shri D,D, Mistry, GS spoke in the latest development on 78,2% IDA Merger issue and he called upon the Pensioners to be ready for further struggle as there is no possibility of settlement of the issue w,e,f, 01.01.2007. It is expected that the effect with be w.e.f. 10.06.2013.
Shri D. Chandrasekharn translated the speeches of leaders and also spoke at length giving the latest position and advised to consult the legal advisor if the issue is more delayed. He also said that this Association is serving the members with more affectionate and represents the grievances to competent authorities effectively.
All the office bearers were felicitated by the Chennai Telephones branch, The Meeting was concluded with dinner.
