District Conference of BDPA(I) Pathanamthitta held at Thiruvalla on 18.01.2024 in YMCA Hall.
It was inaugurated by Shri Anto Antony Member of Parliament. While addressing the Conference he said that the Government of India to release the pension revision of BSNL/ DOT pensioners which is due from 2017 without further delay. He assured that he will take up with the health ministry Government of India for opening a CG HS wellness centre at Tiruvalla. Prof. Sathish Kochuparmpil DCC President, in his felicitation address urged the GMT BSNL to address the pending medical reimbursement/ allowances case of pensioners.
In his key note address Mr. Thomas John K All India President of BDPA(India) said that the continuation of Government Pension to BSNL employees recruited up to September, 2000 was a solemn promise given by the then Prime Minister of India Hon. Atul Bihari Vajpayee. However DOT and the Central Government authorities are letting down this commitment given by a former Prime Minister. He father said that there is no reason for blocking the revision of BSNL pensioners and harassing the senior citizen.
Other BDPA (I) leaders S/s Sasikumar PR Nair, Rashid Ali, G Surendran, Thomas George, K. Mohanan, T. M. Philip, Babu Thomas, K.P Stephan addressed the conference.
