Historic Day for BSNL Pensioners – 21 years ago, S/Shri K. Vallinayagam, SG FNTO and O.P. Gupta, SF NFTE signed historic agreement on 9th September, 2000. Shri Vinodh Vaish Secretary DTS, Ghosh, Secretary DoT signed on behalf of GOI. late Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, MoC who was present during the discussion; was sympathetic to our representation. Due to matured thinking and exhorting pressure on Govt. by Union Leaders an Agreement was signed enabling BSNL Employees to get their Pension from Government of India. Had this not been done, you can imagine Pensioners Position in present scenario when salary of BSNL Employees is inordinately delayed.
During the course of Strike Shri Thomas John K also played key role to achieve the goal. S/Shri M.R. Vashist and D.D. Mistry, were also participating in discussion in FNTO office; Mistry had suggested to transfer of half-pay live also along with earned leave. The suggestion was accepted during the discussion.
