On 21.09.2016, S/Shri A.N. Patel, D.D. Mistry and B.M. Bhavsar met Dr.Kamal Kapoor, Jt. CCA Gujarat and discussed the vital issue of expediting 78.2% IDA Merger issue and consequent Pension Revision.
We were informed that the work is in progress and cases have started to pour in from the SSA for pre-2007 and Post-2007 BSNL Pensioners are being attended to. More than 2000 cases are lying with the AO VASNA ATD and likely to be received in his office. They have already dispatched some revised Pension Revision Memos to Pension Disbursing Authorities. He expressed in inability to clear the back log as AAO is not posted till date and two are already relieved on their transfer to parent circle. The AO is not prepared to sign the Pay Revision Memos without the signature of AAO. He will work out some arrangement to meet with the situation. It was assured that in the month of October 2016 Pension, the arrears will be paid to majority of pensioners. The cases from Bharuch, Surat, Mehsana and Ahmedabad are received. He will monitor the work on weekly basis. Long pending case of Mrs.Nirmalaben Master, FP was also discussed. It was reported verbally by the concerned Section Officer that the case is delayed for want of fresh succession certificate but they were not prepared to direct the Pensioner to submit the same for one reason or the other. However, we were assured for positive approach and necessary instructions will be passed on to office of the PGM ATD Ahmedabad.
