On 06.01.2025, S/Shri A.N. Patel, D.D. Mistry and R.C. Sharma had a meeting with Shri Sandeep Sawarkar, Chief General Manager, BSNL, Gujarat Circle, Ahmedabad and discussed the following issues:
(1) A request to continue empanelment of N.M. VIRANI, WOCKHARDT HOSPITAL, RAJKOT : it was pointed out that the GMTD Rajkot has cancelled empanelment of the Hospital without any valid reason and has deprived the working employees/pensioners from the facility which was available to him. When we pointed out that reason that the Hospital is not giving business to BSNL, the CGM being aware of the information provided to him, endorsed the action of the GMTD Rajkot. He said a team of officers was sent to the Hospital to have business for BSNL but the Hospital had declined any offer and as such the action was taken.
We added that there is no such precondition to provide business by the Hospital to BSNL while its empanelment and it is utter violation of the repeated instructions being issued by the Corporate Office to empanelment more hospital in the larger interest of the workers/pensioners.
When we cited a joint representation having been given to the GMTD Rajkot by the Pensioners associations, he asked that why the employees unions are not protesting.
We gave him a detailed letter justifying our demand, he assured to have fresh look at the issue.

We also requested for convening Second Medical Adalat for Pensioners, he said that now there appears no need for such action as many of pending cases have already settled.
When we pointed out that as per our information, few cases of Corona period is pending, he said that as per his information all cases have been cleared; either paid or rejected. We were asked to concern to provide fresh detailed to his office for review if necessary.
We also pointed out that the the GMTD Valsad is taking the original Medical Reimbursement Cards and retaining with him and providing only zerox copy for validation, he said it is incorrect and said to take up the case with the Pr. GMTD Surat by the Concerned Unit.
Meeting concluded in most cordial atmosphere by exchanging pleasantry of new year.
