MTNL-BSNL PENSIONERS PENSION REVISION – STATUS ON DATE. As per discussion of Director (Establishment) ,DoT, Legal Opinion is awaited and only after receipt of the same the issue can be processed further as per advise conferred therein. The Pensioners Association have filed Caviat in High Court as pre-cautionery step, if the DoT prefers Appeal. Let us hope for the best.
SNPWA met the Hon. Minister of State for External Affairs Sh. V. Muralidharan ji on the issue of pension revision in BSNL/MTNL and handed over our letter explaining the current situation including the PB CAT judgement and requested for his kind intervention at the appropriate levels of the Government for quick resolutionof the issue.
Hon. Minister was very receptive, listened carefully to our presentation of the facts. He promised his total support and said that he would get it examined at the appropriate levels with all the earnestness.
He asked us what would be the financial burden on the Government exchequer.We informed him that only DOT would be in a position to evaluate that since entire data is with them.
He also assured us that he would get back to us after due interactions.
