OBITUARY – A DOYAN OF TRADE UNION MOVEMENT – AKOK NANDI – KOLKATTA EXPIRED ON 16.11.2024.
One more brave soldier of FNPTO movement has passed away. As Circle Secretary of the National union of Telegraph Engineering Employees Class III, Br. Alok Nandhi took the mantle of the National union movement and built the organization facing many odds from within the union and outside. However his dashing personality and commitment attracted large membership to FNTO in Kolkata District and elsewhere. Working with him was a pleasure and always he boosted our morale. He under went an open heart surgery about 20 years back and since last two years he has not been doing well. On the 12th from Delhi we tried to contact him but our efforts were in vain. At last the sad news came, he is no more. Our salute to big brother Alok. You made history and you will be part of Telecom trade union story .
