OBITUARY – Com. Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) – EXPIRED ON 12.09.2024. He was an outstanding leader of the Indian working class movement. He was under treatment for an acute respiratory tract infection at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi since 10th September. Hey has also served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2005 to 2017. During this period, he has effectively raised the issues of the working class in the Parliament. BDPA (INDIA) pays it’s respectful homage to Com. Sitaram Yechury.
