Recovery of Commutation after a lesser period of 12 years – PUNJAB HIGH COURT DISMISSED 808 WRIT PETITION – STATE IS ENTITLED TO EFFECT RECOVERY.
All the 808 writ petitions of stopping Commutation recovery after a lesser period (i.e., about 12 years) were dismissed by Hon. Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh on 27-11-24. It is clarified that the Punjab State is entitled to effect recoveries which were stayed by way of interim orders in the writ petitions. Such recovery however be made in a staggered manner to obviate any hardship to the pensioners.
