Extract of Rule 216 of P & T FHB Vol I and Rule 99 of FHB Vol II regarding disbursement of wages to Postal employees and pension to the pensioners drawing pension from Post offices are given below for the information of all concerned. It may please be noted that the provisions of these rules are not followed by the Postal authorities, particularly in Tamilnadu circle. In these circumstances it is to be considered whether these rules remain to be in the statute books of Postal Department.
