As scheduled, SURAT & TAPTI DISTRICT BDPA (INDIA) Get to Gather and District Conference was held on 07.05.2017 at 10.30 hours at Badrinarayan Temple Hall, Near BAPS Hospital, Adajan Gam Char Rasta, Adajan, Surat. With the presence of more than 300 Pensioners it was a day for celebration for achieving glorious success in meeting Pensioners’ demands viz. Issuance of Revised PPO followed with Arrear Payments, Restoration of Quarterly Payment of Medical Reimbursement in Cash without voucher and extension of night-calling free facility.
Shri B.G. Salunker, District presented his detailed activity report followed the presentation of accounts by the Treasurer. The Pensioners who had crossed 75 Years of age in the last year were honoured by shawl and banquet which was sponsored by the District Secretary himself.
Shri D.D. Mistry, GS BDPA (INDIA) spoke on various achievements made by the Association an also highlighted future task for which strong organization with financial stability is must, he explained. He said that Pension Revision w.e.f. 01.01.2017 is first priority of the Association and will make all the efforts necessary to achieve the difficult target. He said that the Association is live on the issue of arrear from 01.01.2007 to 09.06.2013 and pensionery benefits for the Pensioners.
S/Shri Ghadayali and Salunke were elected as President and Secretary for the next term, unanimously. In the Meeting 12 new members were enrolled. The meeting was followed with dinner.
