Third Get to Gather of Vadodara Telecom District was held on 9th May, 2017 at Kachhia Patel Wadi, B/h Khanderao Market, Vadodara.
It was commenced by lighting lamp by Shri Anil N. Patel, Circle President and D.D. Mistry. District Office bearers also joined in opening ceremony.
S/Shri D.D. Mistry, GS and A.N. Patel Circle President were present from the CHQ and Circle.
S/Shri Rama Kant Sharma, Pr. GM, Rajesh Kanungo, Addl G.M., Vasudeo Rao, DGM (Finance), A.K. Prajapati, AGM (Admn) and Rakesh Dabral were present from the Office of the Pr. General Manager, BSNL Vadodara Telecom District.
All were honoured with banquet by the District Office Bearers.
Shri N.S. Chauhan spoke on the activities of last two years and said that the District had given 23 cases for the Circle and the Circle has solved 22 cases. He thanked the Circle for valuable support and guidance. He categorically pointed out some difficulties being faced by the Pensioners and said that at least the Pensioners expect fair treatment from the Administration whereas sometimes due to individual’s behavior entire image of administration is tarnished. He pointed out medical bills payment and requested for clarification for Option giving procedure.
Shri R.B. Jhunerakar was honoured for his unique help to the Pensioners in representing their grievances.
Shri A.N. Patel while addressing the gathering placed emphasize on strong organization. Numerical strength of Association is vital for any organization to achieve its target. He said that to-day BDPA (INDIA) is functioning in 12 Circles has membership in virtually all the states. He said the Pensioner should not hesitate to represent his grievance in writing which is essential for the District Secretary to make him further representation. Hearsay talk should not be given any importance in the organization.
Shri D.D. Mistry, GS while welcoming to the officers from the Telecom District, he said that their presence in the gather when mercury is at 41 degree is example of its sympathy towards the Pensioners issue. It also reflects cordial relationship between the Administration and Association.
While speaking on various achievements made by the Association Mr. Mistry also highlighted future task for which strong organization with financial stability is must, he explained. He said that Pension Revision w.e.f. 01.01.2017 is first priority of the Association and will make all the efforts necessary to achieve the difficult target. He said that the Association is live on the issue of arrear from 01.01.2007 to 09.06.2013 and pensionery benefits for the Pensioners.
He said that in Publication of Magazine, Association has to provide subsidy of Rs.30/- to each issue and also in sending Birthday Greeting Association has to incur more thanRs.15,000/- . Therefore, financial support from the members is of high importance and urged the members to give their Pension Revision Donation to make the Association financial stable.
Shri Rama Kant Sharma, PGM said he is happy to be amongst the Pensioners and assured all the cooperation from the Administration. He said that any complaint of misbehavior by staff towards the Pensioners will be avoided as respect to the elder is blessing from the people who have served the Organization for more than 30 years.
Shri Vasudeo Rao, DGM (Finance) said that all care has been taken to submit Pensioners Revision cases to the CCA and now some stray cases are pending for want of certain information. For Medical Bills payment that the Company is facing financial crunch and that results in sometime delay in payment which will be look into.
Mr. A.K. Prajapati, AGM (ADM) said that renewal of card is done satisfactorily and for option form only those who desire to have payment in cash without voucher have to give their option. Those who are away from Head Quarter should give an application and can renew their card on return by providing genuine proof of their absence.
More than 250 Pensioners participated in the gathering and availed opportunity of renewing their social relationship with their old colleagues.
The gathering was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Maurya, District President followed with Dinner.
